Do you want the adventure of a lifetime, whilst raising vital funds to support young homeless people? Then look no further. Backup North West have joined forces with Action Challenge to provide you with once in a lifetime adventures.

Action Challenge provide amazing adventures all over the world, from Everest Base Camp, to the Sahara Dessert, to the Great Wall of China or over to the Grand Canyon. Action Challenge have you covered!

So how does it work?

All you have to do is visit Action Challenge and choose your adventure with them. You will need to pay a deposit to secure your place, then you can decide how you want to pay and fundraise.

Action Challenge will take care of all aspects of your trip and Backup will be here to provide you with fundraising support. The Overseas Challenges are operated to the highest standards, with the best local logistics teams, and our own UK mountain leader ensuring all runs to plan & a qualified expedition medic to oversee the group’s wellbeing.

What are the costs?

An online Registration Deposit is required to secure your place on this challenge. Once registered, there are 3 payment options available to cover the remaining cost of your trip.

You pay the registration deposit, and then the full final balance directly to Action Challenge. You can then raise any amount of sponsorship you would like for Backup North West.

You pay the registration deposit & fundraise twice the amount of the final balance.

Backup will pay Action Challenge the final balance from this fundraising and then the remaining amount will go to Backup.

A bit of both. You pay the deposit and split the final balance with Backup.

You will need to fundraise twice the amount that Backup is due to pay.

What We Do!

BACKUP provide multiple services across Bolton to young people aged 16-25 years who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness. Read here about all the supported accommodation which includes emergency housing, temporary accommodation, short and medium stay supported housing. Also the non accommodation based support work that focusses on mental health, employment support and much more.

Young people can live in more than one Backup service as they make progress and develop more independence prior to moving on completely. The different services are designed to meet various levels and ranges of needs.

Our Events

Every year Backup delivers multiple events for fundraising. Each one is designed to raise awareness and much needed money to support young people who are homeless. Annually we have our core events; Gala Ball, Golf Day and Ladies Lunch. We also have other events that are different each year so that we can have a wider appeal to all.
